Unresolved Questions¶

No silent resolution
An unresolved decision must not be treated as settled merely because an example uses one possible syntax or behaviour. Implementation convenience must not silently settle a language-level question. If the compiler requires a behaviour the specification has not defined, it must be recorded as provisional and must not be presented as a stable language guarantee. (Section 57, §7.)
Each decision should be resolved through a record covering: problem, options, consequences, selection, rationale, evidence, affected sections, and status. (Section 57, §6.)
