AI Agent Interface

The language and its development tools will be designed to support AI agents as first-class developers.

1. Structured Compiler Feedback

  • Compiler errors must be machine-readable.
  • Every diagnostic must identify the exact location and nature of the problem.
  • Errors should explain why code was rejected.
  • Diagnostics should identify relevant requirements and violated constraints.
  • Where possible, the compiler should suggest valid correction strategies.

2. Verification Feedback

  • Verification results must be available in structured form.
  • Every requirement must have an identifiable verification status.
  • Failed checks must identify the violated property.
  • Unverified properties must identify why verification was not possible.
  • Verification results must never be silently discarded.

3. Code Generation Support

  • The language should have a predictable, consistent grammar.
  • Equivalent operations should use consistent syntax.
  • Language constructs should have unambiguous meanings.
  • The compiler should provide machine-readable language and API definitions.
  • AI agents should be able to inspect available types, functions, permissions, and contracts.

4. Controlled Modification

  • AI agents should be able to identify which requirements a change affects.
  • Changes must trigger relevant verification checks.
  • Existing guarantees must not silently disappear.
  • The compiler should identify compatibility problems caused by modifications.

5. Development Workflow

The language should support a repeatable workflow:

  1. Read requirements.
  2. Generate an implementation.
  3. Compile and validate.
  4. Receive structured diagnostics.
  5. Correct rejected code.
  6. Run verification.
  7. Report verified, failed, and unverified requirements.

Design Goal

An AI agent should be able to understand the language, generate code, interpret compiler feedback, correct mistakes, and demonstrate which requirements its implementation satisfies.
